School and other Educational Visits

If you would like to arrange for a school party or other groups to visit the synagogue, or for a member of our congregation to come into your school or organisation, please could you download the Visit Request Form and once completed e-mail it back to visits@bwpjc.org

Visits are arranged for a mutually suitable time. Please give us plenty of notice so that we can find a volunteer to host your visit. We do not have school visits to the synagogue on a Monday (or a Tuesday following a bank holiday).

In the past, groups of primary and secondary school children have visited us, Scouts and Guides, groups doing GCSE and A level in Religious Education, PGCE university students, groups from other faiths, local branches of political parties, Mother Unions, WI chapters, etc…

Although the building is modest, we can give a brief overview of Liberal Judaism, show our Torah Scrolls, and provide opportunity to ask questions. Talks can be tailored to individual groups’ needs and interest.

Due to current constraints related to the Corona virus, we are also considering virtual visits and talks via the internet. Please contact us to discuss further.

Government advice will affect when/how we do visits.

We ask for a ‘donation’ of £30 – £50 per group.
